Separate unfinished work from uncertainty

A project may be late because scope keeps changing, the architecture is difficult to extend, an integration is unreliable or nobody can confidently accept the result. These situations need different interventions. We start by identifying what is known, what is blocked and what remains unverified instead of adding another deadline to the same plan.

Inspect the product and its delivery path

A bounded assessment examines representative customer journeys, relevant code, environments and dependencies. We speak with the people who make decisions and operate the system. The output is a practical account of the obstacles, their consequences and the evidence needed to resolve them. We distinguish product decisions from implementation defects and external constraints.

Agree a recoverable scope

We prioritise the work that enables a complete, useful release. Some features may need to wait; some assumptions may need a prototype or partner decision. We agree acceptance criteria and checkpoints so progress is visible in working behaviour. Recommendations should explain uncertainty rather than presenting a precise estimate unsupported by the assessment.

Restore a sustainable delivery rhythm

After the first accepted change, we review the remaining constraints and the operating arrangement. The goal is a team that can make and release further improvements with confidence. We can continue through the implementation and ongoing product work under an agreed scope. Bring the current product, its blockers and any existing delivery plan to the first conversation.

Questions before we start

Can you take over work from another supplier?

We can assess an inherited product where your team has the necessary ownership and access. The first step is understanding the code, environments and unresolved commitments.

Can you guarantee a recovery date immediately?

A responsible date depends on the assessment, dependencies and agreed scope. We make those conditions explicit before committing to delivery.
